Regarding Sid Luckman
Andy Dolan
Alum
School of Law 1970
School of Public Health 1980

I grew up in Chicago, two doors down from Luckman, who at that time had retired. He had three very nice kids: two girls and a boy.

I think he was in some form of sales in retirement, but I vividly remember him throwing the football in our alley to all the kids who would "go out for a long one." Naturally, he pulled those throws a bit or most of us would still be going out for it.

He was a very fine guy who shared his time with the neighborhood kids and never let his fame go to his head. I count myself lucky that I caught a few passes from Sid Luckman!
